FYI, the Department of Mental Health also operates two psychiatric treatment programs at two state prisons under an arrangement with the Department of Corrections. These programs are at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville and Salinas Valley State Prison in Salinas. However, neither of these programs employs Psychiatric Technicians. Instead, they use employees in the classificiation of Medical Technical Assistant (Psychiatric).
