Retro and raises Q&A

I haven't gotten a retro check yet. Have they forgotten me?

No: The Controller's Office was actually ahead of schedule when they started issuing checks in November. They're working overtime, continuing to issue checks to Psych Techs and Senior Psych Techs -- as well as to thousands of affected mental health staff in other bargaining units -- as quickly as they can, with the goal to get them all out by the end of December.

Things don't look right to me on my retro check. What do I do?

Contact your personnel office and set up a time to go over your records. They can print out a transaction history and go over it with you. If things still seem strange after that and you were unable to resolve your concerns with your personnel office, contact your CAPT chapter office or CAPT headquarters office for assistance.

I'm missing a month of pay on my retro check. Where is it?

Look at your pay stub. Because there often isn't enough room to break out and print everything on your pay stub, missing pay is frequently showing up under the "All Other" heading.

I heard that a lot of us were overpaid. Should I be concerned?

Out of the several thousands of retro checks being processed, about 100 were issued with slight overpayments. These overpayments were caught by the Controller's Office, which sent letters to affected Bargaining Unit 18 members. If you were overpaid, the letter offers instructions as to what to do, including offering a repayment installment plan. If you did not receive a letter, you are not affected.
